Garmin Nuvi 250 Versus Magellan Roadmate 1470?

The Garmin Nuvi $ 169.95 Versus is the Magellan RoadMate to $ 170.99. I need a GPS to Roadtrips and travel in Europe (I can settle for the payment of the card later if needed). I just want the most accurate GPS, that will not break and is easy to use / understand.

First, they are both very good units. I used a Magellan but I have a Garmin 255W. Regarding quality, I do not think they are very different. I like the Garmin better, it is easier to use and just a solid device. I also like the fact that Garmin is one of the oldest providers and GPS is the leading aviation GPS (which says tons for me that the FAA is not easy to treat).

You will need different cards for Europe, then make sure a particular unit you get, you can get maps. With Garmin's no problem but the card may not be cheap.

You can also find some real bargains there, I saw the Nuvi 250 for $ 99.00 for shopping online!

I am able to obtain either an XL330 TomTom or Magellan Roadmate 1470 free from Miles. Which should I get? I am traveling in Canada and the USA. Which is better?

one is good
as one is not manufactured in China that will be my first consideration.
