sony vaio?

im thinking about getting a Sony VAIO. Does anyone of his own? What are the advantages and disadvantages of this computer? im looking for something that I can use for school. writing papers, doing research. any help is greatly appreciated! thank you!

I like mine, it has built in cam and mic
With 120 GB 1 GB of RAM 1.73 GHz Vista OS
He also have DVD, SD, USB, Bluetooth, infrared, etc.
and ESP. its PINK!

How do i get my Sony Vaio laptop to autodim when not in use on battery? Is there a program i can download?

It could be called smart dimmer or something, but I've seen other phones (inc Macs) that lower automatically after a period of time when it is not affected. It would be great for conserving battery - How can I put on my Sony VAIO? Can I download the software from somewhere?

I'm running Vista Home Premium.
