Can we use OpenStreetMap with Garmin Vista HCx to obtain navigation directions?

I can import maps from www.openstreetmap.org in my Garmin eTrex series (Vista HCx). Now, I wonder if these cards can be used by the device to suggest directions when navigating to a point.
