something wrong with my olympus stylus 850 SW digital camera when i take a pic?

I got one camera Olympus Stylus 850 SW (the waterproof / shockproof one) for Christmas and I have been playing with it ... and when I take a picture it makes a weird buzzing noise ... it sounds like it is coming from the goal, but I do not know ... Is it supposed to do or is there something wrong with him?

I have the same camera and probably the sound it makes when its focus on the object you take a picture of. Try pressing the button you use to take the picture halfway down (not all the way for you to take a photo), and if it makes that noise, its def. focusing its objective.

I really want a new camera and it looked so cool. Can it really go 10ft underwater without a special case or something else? Would you recommend?

Yes, I just got this camera in pink and I have tried in the pool yesterday and it worked! It took me a while to decide if I wanted to have, because I was not sure d'autres features and quality pictures, but it has 8 megapixels and tons of options really cool for when you are putting in nearly all!
