What should I name my new Magellan Travelmate GPS car navigation system?

What is a better brand of gps navigation units.....Garmin or Magellan and why?

Garmin Nuvi 760 GPS unit of choice .... My only complaint is the tinny "sound and the absence of a signal beep when approaching a turn. The characteristics of the 760 are as described and working well ... although I've had my unit for 2 days. I am not too sure if I am subscribing to the function of the movement after the trial subscription of 3 months ending on ... but I'll give him a few weeks of use to see if the subscription is worth.
I use the dashboard mount provided. It seems to be well attached to the dashboard. I do not think I need the windshield.
I had to upgrade the software.When I registered the unit on the Garmin website, it offers a free upgrade to version 2009 of the card software. It takes a good hour or two to do the upgrade using the update Garmin Web program that is free to download.
I was quite surprised that the screen brightness is excellent, even in direct sunlight.
Ultimately, this GPS is very good and very easy to use ... I highly recommend it.

What Is A Better Brand Of Gps Navigation Units…..garmin Or ...
Garmin nüvi 760, gps great element .... My only squawk is the sound "metallic" and the absence of a beeping signal that you have the modus operandi is upset. The characteristics of the 760 are also described and used well ... although I've had my share for the last 2 days. I am not too sure if I am registering to see the mark after the ball for money 3 months expires ... but I'll give him a few weeks of use to see if the promise is worth it.
