How does the fresh air damper feature of a thermostat work?

I have a thermostat in my house with an element that brings fresh air into the outside air based on outside temperature. How does it determine what temperature to use when opening the register of fresh air? How long does it stay open? How unlike the fresh air damper setting affects the damping function of fresh air? The manual that came with the thermostat was little or no help on this point.
Nope, not stolen. I bought a new house that came with it. I'm just trying to understand how it works.

It is commonly called an economizer. When the outside temperature is cooler than the setpoint of the thermostat will open the damper to help your AC unit and save energy. It is the most commonly used in commercial operations that require air conditioning inside, even when it is 50 degrees or below outside.

Just because you bought a thermostat with this feature does not mean that your system is designed for that. Or did you actually work the thermostat?

Does a split AC get fresh air from outside?

Hi,

I plan to buy split AC 'to avoid dust and pollution from vehicle (b'cos my house on a busy street) from the house. Please clarify the following doubts.

1. if we have a 10x10 foot room with all windows and doors closed. With 1 person in how many hours will the room were breathing air (oxygen)? (eg 10 hours, after which the person will die because of lack of oxygen)

2. a split AC will get fresh air from outside every two hours or will I have to open windows for fresh air?

3.If I need to open windows for fresh air, how often should I open the windows?

4. to prevent pollution of vehicles entering the house, how much should the 'air filter' be? 10 micron, 5 micron filter?

5. In fact, the temperature is not a problem in general, the temperature is pleasant, therefore I am better to buy only one "air purifier" rather than "AC"?

Split ac do not in the air outside, unless designed by adding air supply makeup. There are codes for the amount of outside air per person or per square foot. Tell Contractor reliable value for money to IAQ problems.

It has been six months since I wrote this up. I finished reading one article from Rolling Stone and the shortage in some of my thoughts before moving ahead.

The American out of the closet is desperate for the quarter. Things are all around us, around the earth, too. We reach in ruins and less content to surround what has always been known-hose, unsatisfactory - bizarre. Loss of consciousness in a certain region, was abandoned because of our carelessness.We voted in our first two genetic President. Adam voted for the first time the ease and his troupe certify to convert when he pulled the lever Obama, as many did that day. I am one of them. Obama seems like a breath of fresh air. It is spread and square. It distributes its adult laundry to the media are times for the scandal. When they find something to bite in Obama is likely to his own behavior, or set the polished set. It is a perfect shooter. No ranting. Everything is there - take it or she decamped. America, she has taken. We were quick.

Adam Lambert is just another guy living in America with the rest of us, difficult to demonstrate for their own purposes any effort we can find - hopefully it's the occupation, we find fulfillment.
