where is the antenna on my e39 BMW 528i?

im just wondering where the antenna of my car.

Opinion defroster rear of your heating element. Did not they look a little funky compared to other cars?

Well, because it has your radio antenna integrated. Look at the vertical lines.

This antenna works in conjunction with an antenna amplifier located in the left rear pillar (the pillar C ") behind the plastic panel.

1988 BMW antenna replacement?

I have a 1988 BMW 325 recently and my antenna, and finally broke. I have a satellite replacement, but I can not access the rear of the car to pull the old antenna cable and put in new.

Here is a picture of the dashboard itself (not my car just for reference).

can someone tell me how to get stereo output, or the dash apart enough to reach the antenna cables in the back?

If it's like the 1988 5 Series, there are two small plastic tabs, one on each side of the stereo, you extract and then you must use a particular form 5 sided allen wrench to remove the screws behind them. Once the screws are loose, pull the stereo straight out of the dashboard.
