I have 3rd generation iPod, but I don't have the wall plug/AC adapter and I need to restore it. Any ideas?

I followed all the instructions on the Apple site, but encounter a problem where the wall outlet and connect it appears on the iPod screen. I have no wall adapter and can not complete this part of the process. Is there an alternative to completely restore my iPod? Thank you very much!

I have a Dell AC adapter with a rated output of 9.5 V - 3.34A. Hypothetically, what could be added an LED on the connector that plugs into the computer? Have added a resistant LED work alone? It's 3, 34 amps for me. Yet everything I read online that does volts.

Yes, resistance might work, but you do not mention what LED you use. A red runs I think 1.8V to 3.3V blue? (Google and check)

Top of my head, I would say 470 ohms.
